Why Klaroline Has Always Been Endgame
The Originals is coming to end this Wednesday and we can’t help but hope for a happy Klaroline ending. Fans have been waiting for the “beauty and the beast” like pair to become canon since the two were introduced back in season 4 of The Vampire Diaries. So here are our top 5 reasons Klaroline is endgame.
1. Their Face Says It All
Sometimes there are no words that need to be said to convey emotions or tell someone how you feel. When Klaus and Caroline are not denying how they feel through witty banter and arguing. These two tend to wear their emotions on their face. From Klaus’s wide gazes, sutle smirking and wide grins to Caroline’s truthful gazes and giggling laughing smile. These two cannot deny how they feel even when their pride tries to get the better of them. Slowly in this final season of The Originals. We see Caroline lowering her defenses and sharing with Klaus how she has felt all these years. While Klaus is trying to sort out this new development of Caroline loving him despite years of chasing the idea.
2. Parental Bond
Both Klaus and Caroline are parents, which has matured their characters throughout the series. Both have sought each other out for parental advice and often turn to another for comfort as they struggle through parenting. Klaroline also shares the same views about their children. Both having supernatural children with magical abilities, Klaus invested with Caroline to create a school for their children to be themselves in a safe environment. They also shared the same philosophy that above all their children’s lives and happiness coming above their own. Even when Klaus’s parental guidance was skewed. Caroline was blunt about Klaus’s mistakes as a father and headed warning about the resentment that Hope would hold against him for being a “deadbeat father.” Referring back to her own feelings about her father Caroline is able to bring wisdom to Klaus from the prospective of a daughter but also a mother.
3. Distance Can’t Keep Them Apart
Despite Caroline and Klaus being miles and sometimes worlds apart. The two manage to check in with another and express care or condolences when news travels about their lives. Living in a technological age, one can simply send thoughts or communicate quickly through text or a phone call. However, both Klaus and Caroline take the time to write out their thoughts. Something that is lost in this era. There is nothing more intimate than handwritten letters.
4. Partners in Crime
Caroline and Klaus make the perfect partners when taking on all the supernatural baddies in New Orleans and Mystic Falls. Caroline challenges Klaus and is able to go toe to toe with the original hybrid unscathed. Something others have failed to do and often lead to painful repercussions. However, Caroline’s directs and sassy abilities keep Klaus obedient. Also, who doesn’t love their banter when they team up?
5. They See Each Other and Accept Who They Are
Klaroline has been through a lot over the seasons. But there is no denying the deep infatuation with another that was irrefutable (even when Caroline tried her best to deny her feelings). Klaus will always be the big bad wolf to Caroline but never was he the villain in her eyes. Caroline was able to see through his (sometimes terrifying) facade. Often forcing Klaus to be vulnerable to Caroline and even earning some uncharacteristic wide grins.
Whereas Klaus saw Caroline from the beginning and even with her insecurities. He was able to convey to Caroline with full honesty about how he has always felt about her from the first day they met. Even if Caroline denies or pushes aside his honesty and compliments. Caroline cannot deny the gravitational pull to Klaus and know that they were always meant to be.
