We are weeks away from the release of Tomb Raider and I got to tell you I couldn’t be more excited! The Instagram account is constantly adding awesome pictures and clips that are getting this die-hard fan pumped!

The movie seems like it is going to be following the 2013 installments of the video games, which I believe will work in its favor seeing as how the game itself got high ratings. It has some pretty great acting as well starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft and Walton Goggins as Mathias Vogel.

Lara Croft is pushed to become a strong fighter and survivor in the 2013 game, and it appears it will be the same in this film. She doesn’t just wake up and become the bow wielding, mountain traversing Lara Croft.  She is put through challenges and obstacles and faces serious foes that mold her into the strong female character we love.

I really hope we are not disappointed, and that it doesn’t fall into the typical games turned to movie that bomb in theaters. Hopefully, gamer boys don’t judge harshly on the not overly sexualized Lara Croft and can sit and enjoy the film. Be grateful that they actually refurbished this as a film!
