The Winterfell Battle Breakdown
We are days away from the epic and groundbreaking battle in cinematic history! We have broken down and added some of our own speculations on how this battle will go down.
The Winterfell Battle is heavily influenced by The Battle of Helm’s Deep from ‘Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers’. A night-time battle with various points of view that was fought in layers. We will see these influential pieces in The Winterfell Battle.
Taking a closer look at The Winterfell Battle plan there are key players and groups that will play vital roles. Some will even lose their lives for this battle for humanity and things are looking grim for Greyworm, Jorah, Brienne, Podrick, Jaime, and Tormund on the battlefront as they lead the army of the Unsullied, the Northern army, and the Knights of the Vale.
We know from the season trailer that the wight army will cause Jon and Daenerys’s armies to retreat back into the walls of Winterfell. Bringing danger to Davos, Lyanna Mormount, Arya, Gendry, Sam and possibly Sansa. We know that Brienne will survive the front lines from the season trailer as she fights wights along the fortress walls of Winterfell. But things are not looking great for our favorite Knight and we will be surprised if Ser Brienne makes it out alive.
Things also look bleak for those in the crypts of Winterfell as we know the Night King is able to resurrect the dead. Judging by Varys’s expression from the trailer. He could be hearing the squealing cries of the resurrected making their way to those in the crypts (Varys, Gilly, Little Sam, Tyrion, and northern children and women).
Lastly, there is Bran in The Godswood with Theo and his small army of Iron Born to protect him. Jon and Daenerys are on the outskirts of Winterfell with Drogon and Rhaegal on standby in hopes to surprise the Night King But will fire kill the Night King? Will the Night King be in Winterfell at all? Guess we will have to wait and see how The Winterfell Battle plays out this Sunday!
