The bromance break heard around the fandom leads to one question. What’s in store for the mid-season finale?

While most fandom blogs break down episode 9 of season 5 Teen Wolf, we have five questions the fans hope Jeff Davis will answer in the mid-season finale, and here they are:

1.  What is store for Stiles?

Fans were left in tears during the last 10 minutes of episode 9.  Did Scott kick Stiles out of the pack after his lie of omission of Donovan’s death? Will Scott learn of the deceit by Theo? Fans are buzzing on social media after the promo of episode 10 where Stiles punches Theo. Will the reveal of the truth will come soon and possibly in the mid-season finale?

2. Who is Theo Raeken?

Now that fans have discovered the first motive of Theo about wanting to be an Alpha of a pack, and not just any pack, but Scott’s pack, We are left with a few more hopeful reveals. We learn that Theo was turned by a mystery Alpha. There are speculations that the Alpha was Peter Hale pre-season 1, and even some theories that the Alpha may be the Demon Wolf himself, Deucalion. Whoever the Alpha is, there may be ties or insight to the Alpha Pack from season 3B. Theo mentioning that his Alpha was killed by twins leaves fans to speculate  that it was Aiden and Ethan.

3.  What is Parrish?

Fans, along with myself, thought that the reveal would happen in episode 9 ‘Lies of Omission’. We are left with one more ‘Moonday’ to discover what Parrish is. Ryan Kelley,who portrays Jordan Parrish on Teen Wolf, along with Jeff Davis revealed to fans that we will know what Parrish is by the end of Season 5: Part 1. There are many fan theories out there that Parrish is a Phoenix. While this is a popular theory amongst fans, Jeff Davis loves the element of surprise and unpredictability. There are more looming questions that come with Parrish. Why does he see a Lydia Queen of Diamonds playing card, and why does he envision her before he collects chimera dead bodies? Does Lydia tie in to what he is, or is this simply an infatuation he has for her?

4.  Will Layden make it to Part 2 of Season 5?

Fans were left on a cliff hanger after Scott refused to give Hayden the bite. Judging by the hard choice by Scott and the sneak peek to the mid-season finale, Liam is going to take Scott’s choice hard and a fight ensues. Fans hope that this is not the result of Hayden dying, and becoming Jeff Davis’s latest victim of the first love curse. There are hopes that Layden (Hayden and Liam) make it on to Part:2 of Season 5. There are theories around Hayden whose eyes, after surviving a lethal dose of the injection, turned mercury and faded back to her normal hue. Could Hayden be the Dead Doctors’ success?

5. What are the Dread Doctors up to?

Let’s face it, the Dread Doctors are a little hard to understand. We have to grab our remotes rewind and turn on close captioning to know exactly what “The Surgeon” is saying.  The Surgeon spoke of the perigee-syzygy [known as the supermoon] coming to cycle, and that their focus was on that night. Perigee-syzygy moons have been know to cause natural disaster and have harmful effects on the environment. Being that this is a show about supernatural, could the perigee-syzygy moon cause harmful reactions for the supernatural creatures that surround Beacon Hills.

There are so many unanswered questions about the Dread Doctors and their residency in Beacon Hills. The only thing Jeff Davis had spilled to fans about the Dread Doctors is that they have been in folklore in Russia. Seen by Dr. Gabriel Valack and later written into a book, now discovered by the pack to be a premonition of things to come or memories of what has already occurred. Let’s not forget that everyone’s favorite Banshee, Lydia Martin may have been another experiment of the Dread Doctors that we have yet to see unfold.

The Dread Doctors have already changed the powers of Kira and her Kitsune, causing her to lose control of her fox. Kira was injected in the eye by an unknown substance along with Liam Dunbar in episode 8 ‘Ourobros’. Liam Dunbar showed signs of his I.E.D again in episode 9, and we have a feeling his rage with only get worse to the effect of the Dread Doctors injection. Now we have to wait to see what the Dread Doctors did to Lydia, and possibly the cause of her admission into Eichen House.
