Scream Queens had everyone feeling a little “blue” after tonights episode. Despite the yearly tradition of Chanel-O-Ween, the Chanels find themselves fighting for their lives and friendship thanks to Ivanka Trump.  This leads to another surprising death of a fan favorite. Here are the highlights and favorite moments from tonight’s episode, “Halloween Blues.”

Grieving Chad Radwell 

The episode opens with a grieving Chanel Oberlin dressed up as Jackie Kennedy beside the corpse of her groom to be. Overwhelmed by grief, Chanel was removed from Chad to allow Special Agent Denise Hemphill to conduct the investigation into Chad’s death. Chanel later learns of Special Agent Denise Hemphill’s love for her deceased fiancé; she spots Denise in her wedding dress and parading around the C.U.R.E Institute as the Mrs. Radwell. Despite Denise’s antics, Chanel is informed that the Radwell family was killed on their way to break up the nuptials. This left his family inheritance to Munsch and C.U.R.E Institute per Chad’s request.

Later on in the episode, Chanel and Denise have a seance to talk to Chad. The scene was hilarious and one of the highlights of the episode as Chad takes over Denise’s body to talk to Chanel. Chad reveals to Chanel that he loved Denise and liked her for her money. Just when he was about to tell Chanel who the killer is, Zayday rushes in to seek Chanel’s help with the flood of patients that arrived to the hospital.

Chanel Oberlin 

A humiliated Chanel finds herself in a blue state of mind. Even Chanel-O-Ween becomes more of a chore for her rather than a joyous holiday. Chanel gifts her fans puss, prostitute hearts, maggots, and human remains from the morgue. Still feeling blue Chanel seeks the help of Dr. Holt about her pain and grief. We notice mysterious rashes or bruising on Chanel’s arm and thigh which leaves us a little curious exactly how the rash/bruising occurred. Nevertheless, Dr. Holt prescribes a self made remedy that turns Chanel blue from head to toe.

Chanel clearly upset by her new look and Dr. Holt’s developing relationship with Munsch, she throws a temper tantrum before giving Munsch her resignation. As she leaves, Chanel is greeted by a masked Invaka Trump that later attacks her. A confused and scared Chanel confides in her Chanels and Zayday about the incident. Chanel No.5 and Zayday reveal that they helped Chanel No.3 with her Ivanka Trump Halloween costume. The girls go to Chanel No.3’s closet and discover the Ivanka Trump costume is missing. An unamused Chanel believes Chanel No.3 is the killer. She quickly threatens to kill Chanel No.3 herself if she attends the Halloween Party and un-friends her.

We know as viewers that Hester was the one behind the Ivanka Trump mask and that she attacked Chanel. This comes after Hester was given a “Get Out Of Jail” free pass for the day by Denise Hemphill for Hester’s help to stop the killer.

Green Meanie Strikes Again 

The Green Meanie has changed his pattern in this episode after the death of Chad Radwell. The Green Meanie seems to have switched their agenda by working with Hester.  The masked Ivanka Trump killer taunts Chanel No.3 in the hall of the hospital. A naive and confused Chanel No.3 believes that Chanel is playing a trick on her. Hester continues to taunt Chanel No.3 until The Green Meanie appears behind her, delivers a back stabbing blow to Chanel No.3, and leaves her to die. However, Chanel No.3 is still alive and seeks help in Denise Hemphill.

Denise Hemphill rushes to help Chanel No.3  and finds herself once again toe to toe with The Green Meanie. This time she loses the fight after being defibrillated to death. Denise lays dead on the floor followed by the crying weeps of Chanel No. 3.  Denise was a fan favorite and watching her exit  feels sudden. We are going to miss Special Agent Hemphill, but believe she is happily roleplaying and boning Chad up in heaven.  This is something Denise even hoped and eluded to while she had her alone time to grieve Chad at the beginning of the episode.

Green Meanie Suspects/Developments 

• Chad Radwell knows his killer.
• Hester knows the Green Meanie, could this mean that the killer was someone from Season 1? Our thoughts are still on Boone and Grace. Hester seems to be working with the Green Meanie, possibly to allow her to finish where she left off which is to kill the Chanels.
