Scream Queens: Black Friday Screaming Deals
The Chanels favorite holiday has arrives, The Red Devil rains on Black Friday, Chad challenges Pete to a duel and reveals.
Scream Queens packed in another light hearted, 90’s horror cliche, comedic episode. Stating with Chanel Oberlin and her army of Chanels celebrating their favorite holiday, ‘Black Friday,’ Chanel goes shopping at the mall for off the wall and cheap gifts to get her Chanels. Typical of Chanel fashion, she bought herself Black Friday gifts with expensive taste.
She coaxes the Chanels on a mall trip for Black Friday door stoppers and shopping for the Holidays. Their Holiday cheer is ruined by The Red Devil revealing themself to the Chanels after locking them into the mall after closing hours. Chanel Oberlin, having a change of heart and proudly taking her title as KKT President, goes back to fight The Red Devil.
Chanel, seeing she is out witted and lacking the ability to protect herself from a crossbow, tries to run away and is shot by an arrow. Just as The Red Devil is about to load another, they are greeted by the Police Department and new Chief of Police Denise Hemphill. They escape after Chief Denise Hephill is distracted by her new title and falls to shoot The Red Devil.
After the attack, Chanel Oberlin believes that The Red Devil is none other than Dean Munsch. She plots to kill Dean Munsch not one, but three times. Enlisting Grace to help her poison Dean Munsch with puffer fish venom in her cider, in their first attempt. The failed attempt, gives Grace a change of heart after Pete tells her that she is not a ‘killer.’
Failing to kill her once, Chanel then coaxes Dean Munsch cryo chamber for 27 minutes. Their plan is foiled again and this leaves them with one last option, to drown her. In the last attempt to kill Dean Munsch, Chanel gets the help of the Chanels and Zayday. She gives them all Samsung Edge phones to help enact the plan. However, once again the plan is foiled after Chanel No. 5 has an argument about pantie sizes from a 0 to a 4.
Dean Munsch finally catches on to Chanel Oberlin’s plans. In an awkward showdown of words and glares, Chanel is left poolside terrified. Now Chanel is on the top of her list of personal vendettas.
The episode ended with another revealing moment, between Grace and Pete. Grace is the virginal character this season and just like most horror movies. You have to have a virgin and who better than, Grace. In this episode she struggles with her virginity and those three letter words. When she comes to talk to Pete she discovers that he is leaving Wallace University. This is coming after an odd phone call to whom is believed is The Red Devil. Pete says he feels ‘guilty.’ Guilty for what? The deaths? It is presumed so after he reveals to Grace that he is a murderer stating, “I don’t want your first time to be with a murderer.”
Notable Moments:
- Jess Meyer is the real name of Gigi. Amy Meyer is her sister and the one at the KKT party that night when the twins were born. She later committed suicide, unable to raise the twins and the burden of the secret.
- Pete was written into Boone’s will.
