iZombie Episode 13: “The Whopper”
Ravi and Major are digging in the field as they continue their search for the bodies that contain the uncut Utopium. Major stumbles upon a body, but it isn’t one of their guys they are looking for. Instead, they find a body that is only been for a couple months.
They call in to report the dead body to Clive. Liv finds a coaster on the dead body with a phone number written on it. A woman shows up and she Id’s him as Corey, a FBI agent. She had met him at a bar and he was in Seattle infiltrating a gang of bank robbers.
Ravi believes that it isn’t coincidence that this guy’s body is dumped in the same field of the two guys they have been trying to find. He could of been killed by the same guy. Liv goes with Clive to the bar. He tells her that Corey wasn’t a FBI agent as Bozzio would know of an undercover agent that went missing. The bartender identifies him as Big Fish aka Corey Carp. He was given the name because he was a liar. He was there often at the bar because he works for the company that rents them the arcade games.
Clive turns around one of the games and notices the address on the back is the same as Mr. Boss’s warehouse. Clive assumes that he worked for the man.
Frau Bader, Angus McDonough’s domestic help, joins Blaine as they go over his father’s will. Blaine will be given the balance of his assets. However, if there is foul play in his death that section of the will becomes null and the rest of it all goes to Frau Bader.
Don E calls for Blaine to come downstairs as they have a present for him. He unzips a body bag, and finds Major all duck taped up inside. Don E then adds that he found spray paint cans on him and that he is the Chaos killer. Blaine is annoyed and points out to Major that he has been taking out his customers, which are his income stream. Blaine knows there is a leak in his organization and wants to know who it is. Major then reveals that he was given a list with three hundred names, and all of them are suspected zombies. It was his job to figure out which ones were zombies and then get rid of them.
Clive texts Liv in to give the new info he found out on Corey. They found that Corey’s luxury sedan has been in their impound lot for the last couple of months. In the trunk, there was thirteen thousand quarters stashed in the spare tire wheel well. And he has a theory: what if Corey was skimming and Mr. Boss found out?
Blaine opens the coffin he has Major in. Major tells him that the zombies are not dead. And that he can bring them back eventually, including Blaine’s dad. Blaine lets him out and asks him how they found him. Major doesn’t reveal too much except that the people he is working for knew that Liv was a zombie and bugged her phone and learned stuff. Blaine reminds Major to return his dad and threatens him if he doesn’t.
Clive is down at the morgue with Ravi. Clive points out that Liv takes on certain personality traits of the victims that they are investigating and how Ravi doesn’t see it. The conversation is then cut off when Liv arrives with lunch. Clive tells her that the gun buried with Corey matches an unsolved murder from last year. Popeye Collier, a dock worker, witnessed a Utopium shipment arrive from Hong Kong. He was gonna testify against the men from Mr. Boss’ crew he saw unloading it, but was killed in his home. He then holds up one of the ballistic papers and and pictures of Terrell Johnson on them. He adds that he was captured at the murder scene and was covered in Collier’s blood. Clive’s other theory is that Terrell is one of Mr. Boss’s hit man and that he probably took out a lot more of his enemies.
Clive has tracked him down and he and Liv go to Terrell’s home. Terrell then tells them that if they want to talk to him, he is going to need a lawyer present.
Drake is over at Liv’s place and she tells him that she is sure that Blaine is selling Utopium out of Shady Plots and taking on Mr. Boss. She wants him to be careful there. Major then knocks on her door unannounced and asks about Blaine. She points out that she did know that Blaine worked at Shady Plots, and didn’t tell Major because he might do something unwise. She then points out that Blaine does serve an important purpose. He feeds Seattle’s zombies and now does it without murdering people.
Drake then leaves Liv’s and goes directly over to Mr. Boss. He shows Drake a picture of Terrell Johnson and gives him the address of where he lives and to take care of him.
Liv then has a vision and immediately calls Clive to tell him what she had seen. The vision was of Corey seeing Terrell bent over Popeye Collier’s dead body, blood on his hands. Corey could have put Terrell away for murder, and that is why she suspects the reason for him killing “Big Fish”. Drake is sitting at Terrell’s kitchen table and announces that Mr. Boss has sent him. The next day Liv and Clive swing by Terrell’s house and he isn’t there. Clive then finds the guy’s laptop on and sees that Terrell was researching flights to Mexico.
Major brings Blaine his father’s body, and tells him to hold up his end of the bargain. Blaine lures Jeremy Chu to the funeral home. Major then is able to inject him with his device.
Liv is waiting for Drake to show up for dinner at her house. It is now late in the night and she is bed. Drake then tries coming quietly in her room but Liv’s hears him. She then has a vision and it is of Drake being shot by Big Fish several times. Liv then tells him she saw him the night he was shot and that he is an accessory to the murder she is investigating.
Liv is back at the morgue and fills Ravi in. Don E killed Big Fish, and Big Fish killed the two Utopium smugglers Vic Parisi and Lonny Evans. And when Big Fish found out that they were looking for their bodies he tried to kill them. Ravi then points out that somewhere in Corey’s memories, in the brain she ate, lies the information of where the two smugglers are buried. She tells him that Drake is going to help her to get into Vic’s place and with any luck she will get another vision.
Bozzio shows Clive a surveillance photo she got, and it is obviously of Blaine, who they have been checking out, but someone else in the picture: Major.
Liv then goes to Vic’s house without Blake and makes up a story to Vic’s mom so that she is allowed into the home. His mother takes her up to his room where she is shown his more recent photos and it triggers a vision. She then sees the location of where he and his friend Lonny are buried and calls Ravi to tell him. Ravi then informs her that New Hope, the rat, is dead which implies that Blaine and Major are on borrowed time now. And they need to find the two corpses as soon as possible.
Blaine then wheels his father’s body out once he is finally defrosted. He complains about how his father left Frieda aka Frau Bader $100 million dollars. And tells his dad he is going to make a new video of the will. He then has Chief and Candy come out. Blaine points out that his father had Chief shot in the head and had cut off Candy’s fingers. It is implied they are going to torture him until he does the video for Blaine.
Liv, Ravi, and Major are out by the playground that she saw in her vision. And they begin digging and find the bodies they have been looking for.
