Liv is at Major and Ravi’s place, and answers the door only to see a bunch of FBI agents waiting outside who have a warrant to search the place. Clive tells Liv that Agent Bozzio aka Dale had arrested Major for the Chaos Killer murders. Ravi ends up coming home and he is taken in for questioning by being an “accessory” to murder.

Liv comes home to her apartment where she sees Peyton and Ravi sitting on the couch. She tells Liv that he needs a place to stay as the media is taking over his front yard. Ravi tells Liv that Major is the Chaos Killer as he had confessed to him. Ravi further explains to both Liv and Peyton that the zombie victims aren’t dead, and that they have been frozen by Major. Liv then realizes and comes up with an idea: if one of the victims were to come walking back into civilization then the case against Major would be dropped immediately.  Liv also points out that Major is hungry and locked up. So she tells Ravi to visit Major at the jail and find out the location of where the zombies are at while she goes to find brains.

They get to the location of the storage facility where the frozen zombies are being stored, and when Liv and Ravi open the freezers all the bodies are gone. Ravi notes that someone found them. Major had told him that Vaughn had hired him and had been keeping tabs on him. Vaughn probably took them back to finish of what he originally intended to do with them all which was to kill the zombies.

At the Max Rager headquarters, Vaughn has sold his company, factory, lab, and the Super Max formula to a private military contractor for billion dollar check.

Blaine has Ravi and Liv come to the funeral home. He tried helping her earlier, but got caught by Don-E and Chief. He then gives her a brain he was able to sneak. Liv saves half as she plans on giving it to Major when he gets out. Major, later that afternoon, is released on bail from his employer. Liv accompanies him, but they are then stopped by Clive and his fellow officers. He puts Major under arrest for the Meat Cute murders.

Clive takes him in for questioning. He mentions the name Bryce Buellton, and that he is an inmate at King County who had tipped Clive off. Bryce had been the one to sell Major the guns and weapons that had blown up the Meat Cute.

Liv makes chocolate brain nugat bars. Major is running out of time and he needs brain very soon. She tells Peyton she needs her to get Brandt to give it to Major. However, his Shiba Inu ate the bar so Brandt got another one for his client. Liv panics when Peyton tells her as that means Major didn’t get brains.

Liv then goes to Clive’s place as she comes clean about Major being the Chaos Killer. She tells Clive that Major is a zombie, and then explains that she is a zombie herself. That is where she gets her visions from and their personalities. She is telling him this now as Major has gone days without brains and he will turn. He will infect everyone in the jail, and it will spread so he needs to be let out. With the information he is given, Clive does not believe her story until he sees her stabbing herself in the chest which triggers her zombie facial expression as she shows him proof.

Major is released and Liv is able to give him the brain shake. The next morning Dale shows up at Clive’s place very upset. As she finds out, his case has been dropped as things with the evidence has been tampered with, and she then bids him a goodbye.

Liv is happily back at the morgue. Janko, Vaughn’s henchmen, injects Liv and is carrying her body out in one of the body bags on a rolling table. Ravi hits the guy in the head with fire extinguisher when he realizes he is trying to hijack Liv. He quickly wheels her back in and gives her an Epipen to make her regain conscience. Janko comes back and is fighting and rolling around with Ravi and the tranquilizer gun goes off and kills Janko. It was self-defense and Liv ensures him as he had saved both her life and his. She eats Janko’s brain because it is valuable as it contains the info about the basement at Max Rager. Later that evening as Liv is hanging with Ravi, Major and Peyton, she gets a vision. She sees the thawed out zombies, including Drake. She tells them what she had just seen, and that they’re alive.
