‘House of the Dragon’: What We Know So Far
‘House of the Dragon’ will be based on George R.R. Martin’s latest novel, ‘Fire and Blood.’ The series will be co-created with George R.R. Martin as an executive producer and Ryan Condal Miguel Sapochnick as co-showrunner.
‘House of the Dragon’ will take place 300 years ago, setting the timeline just at Aegon’s Conquest. The series will chronically follow the Targaryen Conquest of the Seven Kingdoms and could possibly encompass the Dance of the Dragons. Along with the early establishment of Dragonstone and the demise of Harrenhal.
‘House of the Dragon’ will also follow the rise of Aegon’s sons, the First Dornish War, the Faith Militant Uprising, Maegor the Cruel, and the First Great Council held in Harrenhal. Along with the great tragedies of The Targaryen Civil War and the Daughters’ War.
HBO picked up ‘House of the Dragon’ straight to series without a pilot episode or cast. The rush to begin the series to being production could be as early as Spring 2020, however, with the time needed for special effects. The series is predicted to air in the Spring of 2021.
