I have been playing Destiny for a while now and, though the storyline isn’t complex, they leave the door open for growth. I found the game very easy and could probably complete it in a day dedicated for Destiny only. The first expansion The Dark Below took you into the depths of Hellmouth where you have to stop a new evil from forming. The second expansion House of Wolves had you join the awoken in an effort to stop the fallen uprising. Both expansions were again fairly easy to complete, but added more quests and dead ghosts to revive.

Even though the game is repetitive I do enjoy playing, and was pleased when they added the Prison of Elders from the expansion House of Wolves.  It adds a tournament like style that tests your skills with a team of three that is different from the normal game play and the Crucible (which is the multiplayer mode).  They also added Trails of Osiris which is a limited time elimination style game found in the Crucible. It tests your skills and ability to work with a team. Winning the trials will award you with loot.

The Taken King is the new expansion that will be released 09-15-15. In this expansion you must find and defeat Oryx and his army of corrupted “taken” before he consumes what little civilization there is left. With this expansion they will be adding the new campaign and quests as well as locations, Strikes and Crucible maps. I am especially looking forward to the new Subclasses for each character! The Titan Subclass is called Sunbreaker allowing the Titan to use a Solar hammer. The Hunter is receiving Nightstalker an ethereal bow that can cripple your opponents. Lastly, the Warlock will have Stormcaller which uses Arc energy to electrocute your enemies. I am also very excited for the new Raid they will be adding which will reward you with new armor and weapons.

I am hoping this expansion will be the start of something wonderful for Destiny. I hope they answer the straggling questions of the original game as well as add in more unique changes like The Prison of Elders. Like I said before there is so much room for growth with this stellar game and I can’t wait to see what they come out with next!
