The Black Widow trailer has fans spinning their webs for more clues to the infamous Budapest mission and origin story of the beloved superhero, Black Widow. Here is our breakdown of the action-packed trailer.

The trailer begins with the mystery mission of Budapest that has been referenced various times in the Avengers films by Natasha, Haweye and Nick Fury. The trio could be reunited in Black Widow with the flashback scenes of these Avengers. One can only hope for the reunion.

Black Widow will take place in two timelines based on the footage seen through flashback sequences. This places Black Widow between the events of Civil War and Infinity War, along with an earlier period best seen by the de-aging scene of General Thadeauss (Thunderbolt) Ross talking about Natasha going on the run.

Leading her to go back “home,” where we meet characters Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), and Alexei Shostakov /Red Guardian(David Harbour). Fans are quick to notice that both Yelena and Natasha share the same combat skills acquired from Red Room Training Facility.

Fan were also treated with their first look at Taskmaster, the villain for the Black Widow film. Along with Red Guardian’s big-screen debut, donning his famous red superhero suit that mirrors Captain America’s. But this wardrobe was not the only piece of superhero clothing that has fans speculating a connection.

Yelena is seen wearing a familiar vest that was also worn by Natasha in Infinity War. In which Natasha dyed her hair blonde, possibly taking on the identity of her deceased sister, Yelena. Guess we will have to spin our web of theories till May 1, 2020, to know for certain.
