Arrow Episode 4×07 Recap: Brothers
H.I.V.E puts a damper on the Queen campaign, a bittersweet reunion and a brotherhood that stands together in the hardest of times.
The episode kicked off with Team Arrow hoping to put a damper on the Ghost, only to once again be outsmarted, when Ghost sets the armored car on fire. Revealing to Team Arrow that Ghost was not after the money, they were going to get rid of remaining funds and revenue for Star City. This exposed the true agenda behind H.I.V.E and Ghost, which is to get Star City as low as the city can go in order to take full control.
Team Arrow is face with another road block, when they go to raid Ghost’s compound to obtain the capsule that the members of Ghost are given. Felicity discovers that the tooth they had obtained previously from a fallen Ghost member I s capable of changing human DNA. She enlists the help of Ray to help her fine tune the DNA changing effects caused by the capsule.
During the raid, Diggle discovers that one of the Ghost members he captured was his brother Andy. Diggle is shocked by the reveal and allows Andy to make a quick escape. Diggle confides in Oliver through out the episode, handing him the confidential file he had obtained from Darhk. He later informs him of the fact that his brother is alive.
Later in the episode we discover that Andy was resurrected by none other than Damien Darhk. Diggle is not thrilled to have his brother alive. Finding himself conflicted that Andy did not tell his family that he was alive, Diggle was given the hardest task by telling his nephew that his father was never coming home again. Oliver attempts to mend the Diggle brothers, and this leads to one of my favorite lines of this season: “My brother needed me. The ‘Green’ one.” Diggle remains angst towards his brother [even after Team Arrow captures him].
Damien Darkh threatens Oliver Queen’s campaign after Oliver plans to save the bay. The bay is a targeted port by H.I.V.E and their army of ghost. Damien tried to get Oliver to give up the project, but, seeing through the threat, Oliver Queen shows Star City his determination to resurrect the city, by starting with the core [the bay].
Things to Keep In Mind:
- Thea, when attacked by Damien Darkh, was temporarily relieved of her bloodlust. She confides in her father [Malcom] about what happened, and asks for his help to relieve her bloodlust permanently.
- Next week is the big cross over episode with Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
- Ray regains his worth while assisting Team Arrow on capturing Andy. I have a feeling Ray will come more alive so to speak in next week’s episode.
