Ghost comes back to haunt Team Arrow, Felicity struggles to cope with her new life, Diggle brothers reunite and corrupt soldiers look to over throw A.R.G.U.S.

Felicity Smoak 

Felicity encounters her former self this episode, one that fans of the series are familiar with as the goth hacker. This is also the fans first glimpse of Felicity with her wheelchair, after finding out that she will never walk again. Felicity believes her hallucination is caused from side effects of medication and PTSD. Felicity believes that her new condition will hinder her abilities and effectiveness to help out the team, after she accidentally trapped John Diggle and Oliver during a mission.

During a heart to heart talk with her goth former self, she is reminded about her past and what she was escaping. Felicity’s former self caused her to realize that her past with Conner and feeling of responsibility for his death pushed her to rely only on herself.  It led her to become apart of  Team Arrow and the Felicity she is today. Felicity was able to discover that while playing superhero, she realized how her talents were used for good. Personally, I like the former goth hacker Felicity with her blunt sarcasm that eventually assisted Felicity with regaining her strength and coming back to Team Arrow. Also looks like Felicity has her own superhero name, Overwatch. Sound familiar?

Oliver Queen

Oliver feels the overwhelming guilt of Felicity’s condition and believes that it is his fault. He confides in Laurel about Barry’s (The Flash) ability to travel through time, and how it effects the future. Oliver mentions that altering time causes negative effects and that what happened to Felicity was a condition of Barry manipulating with time. Laurel reminds Oliver that Darhk is the one man that is to blame for what happened to Felicity.

Oliver, being a hero to take on the weight of the world, still believes that he is at fault. Later in the episode he promises Felicity to fix her condition,  saying that if Sara can be resurrected, he will find a way for her to walk again.

Diggle Brothers

Fans get to learn more about the Diggle brothers this episode with flashbacks from their time serving in the military. We learn that Andy has more secrets and “ghosts” from his past, as it is revealed that Andy was apart of Shadowspire (a corrupt branch of the military). John takes Andy to A.R.G.U.S  after one of their agents is compromised by Shadowspire and Team Arrow believes that the group is after weapons.

Andy, under his brother’s watchful eye, discloses to John that Shadowspire is not after weapons.  Shortly after, A.R.G.U.S is under attack and we learn that they have come for A.R.G.U.S technology. Lyla and Amanda Wallner are taken hostage, while John helplessly looks on.

Andy offers his assistance, but is denied by John as he still feels as though he can’t trust  him. John is able to send an S.O.S to his team. John eventually agrees to have Andy prove to him his loyalty and enlists his help with a plan. Shadowspire kills Amanda Wallner and forces Lyla to assist them with A.R.G.U.S technology. John is taken hostage as part of the plan. Working with Andy, Lyla and Oliver, Shadowspire is taken down.

After Andy shows John that he is someone worth trusting after saving Lyla, John brings him back to his home. He is greeted warmly by Lyla and meets his niece, Sara, for the first time. I am still on the fence however with Andy. I don’t fully trust the fact that he has changed his ways and still serving his own interest. Andy has too many secrets and eventually we will learn more about them.
