A farewell, healing kisses, the slap heard around the fandom and eye opening moments (literally).

Episode 7 and 8 played into another crazy night in Beacon Hills, that left the fandom in a frenzy. We found the task of finding the most shocking or highlight worthy of  the two episodes to be daunting task. Here are our highlights of episode 7 and 8 of Teen Wolf.

1. The Reveal to Hayden that Liam is a Werewolf:

Let’s face it, this would be the natural reaction if you found out someone was a werewolf, despite the prior “I’m a werewolf reveals on the show. This one left the fandom in giggles, and admiring the reaction. In season 1 when Allison found out Scott was a werewolf, the reveal left her in shock and confused. The “Romeo and Juliet” feel of her family being hunters and her first love being a werewolf, made the reveal more romantic the second time around. To Lydia finally piecing together the supernatural world around her and the fact that her ex was a kanima, who was then killed to be reborn as a werewolf, the reveal caused her to run into his arms and hug him. Mason’s reveal was met with eager enthusiasm, when they were chased through the halls of Beacon Hills High by Theo. Leaving Liam to growl and take his half wolf form in front of Mason in order to protect him. Lastly we can’t forget the random Danny and Ethan seen where Ethan confides in Danny what he is. Danny simply replies, “Dude, it’s Beacon Hills.”

2. Hallucinations Causing Everyone To Lose Their Mind

Parrish making out with a toasty Lydia, Malia caught in multiple bear claw traps, Scott being attacked by Kira, and Lydia having her tongue ripped out by Tracy: that was the PG version of what happened in episode 7. Fans were left most confused by Parrish’s Hallucinations about Lydia that lead into a less then sexy make-out scene. Why does he see Lydia? Why does the hallucination start with a “Queen of Diamond’ playing card? These are just a few questions that surround Parrish this season, despite the obvious question of “What is Parrish?” Fans will find out soon enough in Season 5: Part 1 mid-season finale.

While it seemed most of the pack was suffering from bad hallucinations, created by the Dread Doctors, Stiles and Theo stayed back to see who was taking the bodies. While having a heart to heart, Theo is sucker punched in the face by Parrish and Stiles is flipped in his Jeep. Sadly this episode did have one casualty, “Roscoe” the Jeep. The Jeep has turned in Stiles’s symbol, and a Teen Wolf icon amongst fans. There is hope in episode 8 when Stiles makes a call to his mechanic that Roscoe may be on the mend.

3. One Word: Layden

One can argue that Hayden and Liam are reminiscent to Scallison. There always something about “first love” that makes the heart grow large. Jeff Davis and his writing team has done it again; fans are routing for Layden (Hayden and Liam), and social media blew up with #savelayden2k15. Fans are worried that these two will fall under the curse of “first loves” on the show. Fans grieved the loss of Allison in episode 23 of season 3, especially when Scott held his first love in his arms in her final moments. Then there was the Derek and Paige’s tragic love story when she is released from pain by Derek after her body rejected the bite. Fingers crossed that Jeff Davis give this couple a happy ending.

4. A Farewell 

In episode 8 we see the sad departure of Kira Yukimura. After seeking answers to her loss of control with her Kitsune and later being arrested at the request of Sheriff Stilinski, which later caused the “Slap Heard Around The Fandom”, Kira felt helpless after discovering Scott’s lack of trust in her. She decided to search out answers from the “Dread Doctor’s” book.  The clue from episode 7 with the ‘115’ needle marking left on Kira’s bed was finally made clear in episode 8. When viewers discovered that Kira was stuck on the 115 highway in traffic. There she was abducted and forced down by the Dread Doctors and received a needle injection in her eye. While in the experiment the needle was struck by lightening and her inner Kitsune took over. This discovery cause Kira to make the hard choice to leave Beacon Hills until she can regain control.

While fans are left in a frenzy whether Kira will be back by the end of season 5: part 1 or in season 5 in it’s entirety. Arden Cho [who portrays Kira Yukimura] left this tweet, which gave fans some hope:

1. Hello Desert Wolf

While the fandom had a week to welcome Marisol Nichols as the Desert Wolf, Mother to Malia Tate, this won’t be a warm reunion between the two. Fans are wondering when and how the Desert Wolf will cross paths with Malia. Is there a connection between the Desert Wolf and the Dread Doctors? Jeff Davis likes twists so we are curious to see what he has in store. All we know is Malia’s biological parents get the “Worse Parents” on the earth award.
